Turtledove Hunting

Dates : From early July to The End of August authorized hunting: Friday - Saturday - Sunday - Monday at the Dove Hunting Turtledove Hunting

Turtledove, abundant migratory bird and occasionally harmful classified by the Forestry Commission, his shooting is however regulated. Strong reactions to this bird that takes to the past.

TERRITOIRES : 4 PRIVATE RESERVE CHASSAMIR

A 15 Km (minimum) and 50 km (maximum) reserves of 18,000, 15,000, 12,000 and 8,000 ha.

Plains consist of agricultural properties. Hunters are placed on trails or paths along the orange groves, olive groves and wheat fields.

During a Hunting day:

 

4:30 / 5:00 a.m Departure by minibus or road vehicle with driver and guide to the hunting territory. Distribution folding seats and coolers with fresh mineral water and allocation of firing points.

Hunting 7:30 to 10:00 a.m and back to the hotel.

3:00 p.m. departure for last night, another territory (folding chairs, fresh water).

Back at the hotel around 7:00 p.m. / 7:30 p.m..

TABLE PERMITTED: 50 TOURTERELLES DAY

150 to 200 AVERAGE CARTRIDGES ARE DRAWN IN THE DAY.

Quails Hunting

Dates: Early October To the End of February Hunting authorized: Friday - Saturday - Sunday and Monday Quails Hunting

The hunting of the wheat quail is often done by hunting dog. Chassamir provides to their hunters, their dogs spaniels and setters specially trained.

TERRITORY: PRIVATE CHASSAMIR

45,000 Ha 50 km from Marrakech.

Plain consists of agricultural properties. Hunting in the cotton fields, alfalfa, potatoes.

During a Hunting day:

To 8:30 AM, from Marrakech by minibus or road vehicle with driver to the hunting ground.

Water distribution, distribution of dogs and carriers.

Picnic lunch on the field: salad / grilled over a wood fire / cheese / fruit / wine and water.

Hunting around until 04:00 PM and back to Marrakech.

TABLE PERMITTED: 20 QUAIL A DAY IN THE RESERVE.

Thrush Hunting

Dates: Early October To The end of February Thrush Hunting

In the Mediterranean area it is rather on the hills and highlands than in the lowlands but it avoids too dense forests. Finally, note that it avoids nowadays extreme Mediterranean coastline. In winter, it preferentially uses meadows bordered by large hedges and open spaces of average altitude.

As often in the woods, hunting is done in small beaten with beaters.

Partridge Gambra Hunting

Dates: From October to January Partridge Gambra Hunting

Partridges (Barbary Partridge / alectoris barbara) 700 to 800 gr.

Totally wild game with good density / Table through a rough shooting: 8/10 partridge.

 

TERRITORY: PRIVATE RESERVATIONS CHASSAMIR

30,000 Ha (3 twinned reserves) in the heart of the Western High Atlas to 85 km of Marrakech.

Elevation 1 000 to 2 100 meters.

Land diverse mountains for sport hunting, small hills for easier hunting.

Varied landscapes: rocky terrain, small juniper forests, small oak trees, prickly pears,

False alfa, terraced fields.

 

RUNNING AN OPEN DAY:

Departure from Marrakech to 7:30 in all-terrain vehicle with driver. After an hour and a half drive, meeting with hunting guides and porters.

Starting on foot or by mule to dominate the course of hunting.

Hunting itself with mullet with or without a dog.

The game gets up companies 8/15 and partridges hunting is practiced in small lines from February to April guns.

Strong reactions from wild partridge shooting requires good correction.

Picnic lunch (salad, grilled over a wood fire, cheese, fruit, wine, water, tea)

In the late afternoon, drive to the hunting lodge. dinner and accommodation facility.

Second day: either back to Marrakech or second day of hunting on a new course.
